Our concept focuses in particular on providing the ideal complement to the Christkindlesmarkt and creating an attractive location in the city centre to strengthen Nuremberg as a shopping destination.
Nuremberg was once judged to be the most beautiful city in Germany by readers of the American travel magazine “Condé Nast Traveler”. They highlighted the unique historical backdrop, the very special charm of which can best be appreciated from above.
After last year's great success, Nuremberg is the only city in Bavaria to offer this special highlight in the old town at Christmas time. With our event format, we want to make an important contribution to the sustainable development of tourism.

Discover the WinterVillage with its nostalgic children's carousel, magical winter labyrinth, mulled wine and cozy, warm hut magic. Typical winter and regional culinary delights round off your time in the WinterVillage. Alongside a wide range of sweet and savoury delights, the stalls serving hot and cold winter drinks are a central point of contact where visitors like to meet up for a drink or just bump into friends from the old days. The “Christmas City Nuremberg” mugs specially designed for the WinterWheel with WinterVillage will soon be adorning numerous kitchen cupboards as souvenirs.

The WinterVillage with giant wheel are open from 15 November 2024 to 6 January 2025. The winter magic at the Jakobsmarkt invites you to enjoy the festive atmosphere daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.* – friday and saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.*.
We are the ideal meeting place for couples, families, friends, groups, clubs and company celebrations. Experience a unique LED light show in the evening hours.

A panoramic ride in the giant wheel costs 6 euros for adults and 4 euros for children (up to 1.40 m tall). Tickets are available on site at the box office.
The closed panoramic gondolas can be rotated and can accommodate up to 6 people. All gondolas are wheelchair-accessible.
The entry to the WinterVillage is natural free. If you present a WÖHRL receipt you will receive a 20% discount on a product in the WinterVillage.

Or take the U1 subway line to the station Weißer Turm. As soon as you leave the subway station, the Nuremberg WinterWheel shines in your eyes.
